Egg Shortage cancels EoMEoTE 17
Tomorrow is the deadline for EoMEoTE #17 and… well… you can see from reading the article what has happened. But I’m not going to let little thing like a shortage of eggs to stop me from playing!!
Actually, to be truthful, we DO have eggs but I just haven’t felt like eating eggs recently. Sometimes, eggs are just too, well… eggy. Especially when there is a heat wave.
We have had the best corn on the cob though. Remind me to post about the great corn chowder that we made with left over barbecued corn. See the photo to the right for a sneak peek. (click on image for larger view)
Oh yes, and I have to say that The Newspaper Clipping Generator is way too much fun!!
As you can see, I couldn’t stop playing with it.

Page 270!!!! That’s some honking big newspaper.
I wondered if anyone would notice that… ummm… there are lots of photo pages in the Saturday edition.
(I chose 270 because the my post about making bread on the barbecue is at http://etherwork.net/blog?p=270)
Love the newspaper generator. EoMEoTE is one blog event I always mean to enter but never remember.
The deadline is really quite flexible, Kalyn. I suspect that you could post an entry sometime this week and Jeanne would still include your post in the roundup. That’s the really great thing about EoMEoTE. The deadline has never actually been the end of the month….
The newspaper generator looks like lot of fun. I can’t wait to find an excuse to make use of it.
I know what you mean about the eggs. Sometimes you need to be in the mood to eat a certain food.
Ummm… Did you post the recipe for the corn chowder? I made a crab, corn chowder once. It was delicious! I’d love to make it againwithout the crab (too expensive). I noticed below you have a lamb emoticon skipping rope. That’s so cool. How do you do it? In honor it:
Love it!
Paz
Oh, I see it’s no longer the lamb jumping rope but the pig and his yo-yo. Okay. Still cool.
Paz
Oooooh you are sailing close to the wind with your blatant disregard for the rules, Elizabeth!! I can see it now: “Reggulator cracks down on serial offenders – vows to make an eggsample”
heh heh heh…. Anyone capable of snacking on the unborn should always be humoured!!
But lack of both eggs AND toast aside (!!), great newspaper clippings! And Kalyn – yes, please do feel free to enter this week – I’ve never failed to include somebody merely because they were a day or a week or so late
But lack of eggs and toast… now there’s a faaaaar more serious transgression!!
edit by ejm @ 18:15 EDT: Eeek!!! I take it all back, Jeanne!! (well, some of it). I have written a second EoMEoTE17 post (only one day after the deadline) that has eggs AND toast: etherwork cracked in two by EoMEoTE 17 -Elizabeth
he..hee.hee… Unborn in Jeopardy… that’s one funny piece, EJM.
funny and clever!
