World Bread Day began in 2006 and Zorra (Kochtopf) invited food bloggers to help celebrate the occasion. Zorra continues to host the now annual event entering its 7th year. Zorra wrote:
ANNOUNCING WORLD BREAD DAY 2012 – 7th EDITION!
Mark your calendar – October 16 is World Bread Day! Since 2006 every year hundreds of bloggers from all around the world baked bread for this special day. So let’s do it again: Bake a loaf of bread for World Bread Day and blog about it! […] I’m looking forward to seeing a huge basket filled with breads from all over the world again!
It’s easy to take part in World Bread Day; simply bake bread, take pictures and blog about it on Tuesday, 16th October 2012. Not before and not after. Your post can be written in any language. After all, it’s World Bread Day.
Bake a bread with or without yeast, use sourdough, experiment with different flours, add some seeds… It’s up to you! […] Yes, the theme is open. It just has to be bread in form of a loaf or flat (but no cakes, muffins etc.)
