These crispy little rings are delicious! The recipe suggests using either white wine or eggs. We used white wine because our farm fresh eggs are at a premium right now.

They are not difficult to make, being mixed and shaped, then par-boiled like bagels and baked almost directly after shaping. I kneaded fennel seeds into half the dough. We cannot decide which we like better, the plain or the ones with the fennel seeds. Either way, they are delicious with pre-dinner drinks.
