Stromboli is basically pizza (stuffed with cheese, meat and peppers) that is rolled up like a jelly roll rather than in an open-faced pie shape.
Holes are pierced into the shaped bread just before baking to encourage lava-like eruptions. This particular stromboli was rather quiet....
Slicing after letting the Stromboli rest for 10 minutes.
Next time, we'll make sure the filling is placed further towards the outer edges. Although... the less filled part of the bread was delicious as well.
