The BBBabes chose this bread to celebrate their 1st anniversary in February 2009. I FINALLY got around to making it. And am I ever sorry I waited so long! It's brilliant. The bread is based on one in a recipe in "The Italian Baker" by Carol Field. I added a little honey to the dough.




I got "The Italian Baker" by Carol Field for Christmas 2000. It is my first 'serious' bread book and has been used so often that the binding has broken. In spite of the poor binding, it's a great book! The 'rustic breads' section alone makes it worth buying.
