I decided to try making cinnamon buns using wild yeast. And they were going to be fantastic! The dough was beautifully silky and elastic. I put two trays and two small bowls of shaped buns into the oven. I set the timer....

Take a closer look at the finished buns:

And a little closer.... Did I mention that the buns were finished? The timer didn't go off! I left the buns on the rack to cool and went away to cry pathetically.

After the buns had cooled completely, T scraped almost all the black off of the buns (Oh the tragedy of it all! All that butter, sugar and cinnamon that should have caramelized!) .
