These knotted rolls are made with all-purpose & whole wheat flours, honey, oil, lard and flax seeds in the dough. They sprang up beautifully in the oven and turned out to be much larger than expected.

They are delicious with butter and red currant jelly.

The crumb is beautifully soft and elastic. And the crust has just the right amount of chewiness. We're thinking they'll make excellent hamburger rolls.
