waffles, bacon and rosemary honey (4 Mar 2006)

Procedure: 1.) batter should be consistency of porridge; 2.) pour batter on preheated wellseasoned iron; 3.) use other side of iron to flatten batter; 4.) waffle turned and almost done on other side; 5.) waffle ready for plate.

Some years ago at an antique sale, my mother found this stove-top castiron waffle iron "Taylor Forbes Ltd. Guelph Canada" c.1920s and gave it to us for Christmas. We can never thank her enough! (see more images of Taylor Forbes cast iron waffle iron)
