I often hear people mix up words with strange consequences and think "I must start writing these down, but never do". Today I heard someone say "The presevation of life is sacrimount". It almost sounds like a real word.

Have you heard any good ones recently?

Just got back from riding my bike to the grocery store... I STILL can't remember the really good new word I heard recently but was reminded of another one as I was dazzled by the brilliant colours of the blooming daffodils and crocodils in the front gardens along the way. at last! at last! at last!

No, but there is a whole book of made up words called "wanted words" -- people wrote into the CBC to provide words for ideas for which there are no real words, but ottabe. My favourite came to me the other morning when I had no urgent schedule and I lay in bed in the morning "beditating."

My other favourite is my son's term (when he was quite small) for the bag I carried around -- he called it my "grief case."
