I posted an earlier comment about the pain-in-the-neck that any moving involves. It cannot be denied - no matter how carefully you plan a move, it is going to to be a big upheaval. So, it is an important decision; is it worth it? In our case, YES. Our previous place was in a building that had almost zero maintenace and was rapidly going downhill. That alone is reason to leave. But, more important, the location of our new apartment is right in he middle of every commercial facility imaginable; everything is conventiently reachable on foot. I have never shopped at a supermarket before without using a car; here, just take a cart and walk 1 1/2 blocks. It really is amazing. It really was worth the effort. Idea

I've moved home 11 times and every one of them was traumatic. My most recent move has landed me on the outer limits of the suburbs (farmland on one side) and I'm walking distance from both a quiet picnic by the river or 2 small supermarkets. I'm also only 15 minutes by car from several large supermarkets, shopping malls and multiplex cinemas.
