Our new apartment has has an open kitchen adjoining the dining/living room. This is really wonderful from all points of view, save one - the TV, when it's on, dominates the whole shebang. It's not really ideal to keep on asking the person watching to continually turn the sound down. I wondered if wireless headphones would be a solution. So, yesterday I bought a pair of Sennheiser RS 110 ( http://www.sennheiser.com/sennheiser/icm_eng.nsf/root/09917?Open&print= ) and was really surprised how well this solution worked. They install with 2 simple connections, are comfortable to wear, sound great, and give the person using them the ability to get up and walk anywhere without missing a beat (so to speak). I'm sure I'm not the only person to wish that they wouldn't have to listen to the TV, CD, DVD, etc. that smeone else is playing. The only drawback is the matter of price. Cheap wireless headphones are worse than useless and will soon end up in the closet. The Sennheisers cost $129 CAD, but are worth it.

Gadgets rule! Whoever dies with the most is the winner.
