Do you use firm tofu, MrsBrown? If so, then tofu in chilli would be tolerable.

I use extra-firm tofu and I grate it the same way I grate cheese. Then I chop it again so it's in very small pieces. It is more than tolerable. It's delicious.

Sometimes I make tofu fajitas: tofu strips briefly marinated in lime juice and chili powder added to massive amounts of stir-fried onions and red peppers. Added to that is a little tomato sauce and copious amounts of cilantro.

fajita Exclamation fajita stomp fajita la la la

We had read that "oyster crackers" were sprinkled on top so naturally, we had to get oyster crackers. They appear not to be available in Canada but there is a cracker called fishy crackers.

Oh, my goodness, NOOOOO!!! I used to give those fishy crackers to my son when he was very small. We bought one box when he was about 4 and he ate it sporadically and we never bought another box.

I've seen oyster crackers at the Chinese supermarket. Have you tried a store like that? la la la

hohoho

I don't think the crackers are supposed to taste of oysters. The resident expert said they were the right crackers (they were actually kind of good - but perhaps not good enough to buy again)
