Warum sind die Schnecken deine Freunde, David? Die Schnecken sind nicht meine besten Freunde; die Schnecken essen meinen Garten - without so much as a by your leave.

Die schnecken sind etwas das ich can't even consider putting in mein mouth. Ich denke das ich bin unfairly prejudiced against die schnecken ... Aber wass gehen Sie tun?

It's time to make a stand and say "Enough is enough". It's wrong to classify a native creature in it's natural habitat as a pest. It is not acceptable behaviour to murder all snails on sight. They should be removed from your vegetable garden and relocated to a suitable area using a tennis racquet.

But I'm NOT murdering them. In fact I'm inadvertantly helping them to propogate by providing a food source for them. As it happens, I THOUGHT it was slugs that were devouring the garden until I saw a snail waltzing across the garage door in late August... early September... late September... (they certainly do move slowly!) if I had a tennis racquet, I'd have tried the gentle removal method.

I still think that snails are best when served in those little dishes with the mini bowls that are filled with garlic butter.

It isn't wrong when the native creature is making a pest of itself by eating the basil.

MrBrown likes to develop his throwing arm in preparation for baseball season by throwing snails into the street. Perhaps the BrownBoy can develop his tennis skills by using your method of snail removal. stomp

A guy hears a knocking on his door. He opens it up, and no one is there. He looks all around and he finally sees a little snail sitting on the doormat. He picks it up and throws it across the street into a field.

Ten years go by, and one day he hears a knocking on his door. He opens it up and no one is there.

He looks all around, and he finally sees a little snail sitting on the doormat.

The snail looks up and says, "What the hell was that all about?"
