Of the 168 minutes, a whole hour could have been easily cut. The movie contains convoluted and confused storylines which gave the impression of being written by several independent committees and then a final committee voted on which scenes to include in the finished version. It's almost as though they made it up as they went along. The special effects are very clever but the overall feel is a movie made on a Disneyland theme park. The movie was watchable, just. But scrawny Kiera Knightly was totally unconvincing in the action scene. She's so obviously not physically capable of pushing/pulling someone triple her own weight it's ridiculous. If I see her sticking her lower jaw out or pouting one more time I'll scream. On the plus side the other actors are as good as they were in the previous two movies in this series. I'd hoped Keith Richards (playing Jack Sparrow's father) would have had a bigger part but he doesn't have much big-screen charisma. My personal recommendation is don't spend money to watch it but certainly watch it on TV when it comes around.
