Ratatouille: An amusing family movie film about a rat wants to become a chef in a real restaurant. Standard Disney movie - fun but I wouldn't watch it if I didn't have kids.

Hoodwinked: Although not up to the animation standard of Pixar, the creators have made a very entertaining movie. It's a retelling of the Little Red Riding Hood story but with laughs. Although sold as a movie for kids, the humour is definitely aimed at adults. I watched it with an 11 year old and a 17 year old and we were all laughing. There were a couple of corny bits that I wasn't sure were serious of parody.

A Scanner Darkly
: Based on the book by Philip K Dick, this movie has been made to look like a graphic novel. I don't know whether they drew over the top of the live action or applied a video effect. This is not a movie aimed at kids. It's set a few years from now in a world unraveling under the effect of mass drug addiction, paranoia and the Police State. It's quite believable as where we might be in seven years which is not bad for a 30 year old book. The movie made me want to re-read the book and I'll certainly rewatch the movie.
