I was poking around youtube a couple of days ago (I can't remember what I was looking at) and I came across this video of a little girl in a British talent contest. I thought, "isn't she cute" and then I thought ... well, have a look. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CC-lKhr1k0g

This was the 2007 contest; the little girl didn't win, so I took at look at the guy who did win. Singing "Nessun Dorma". Wowza. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DelJrP3P7tA&feature=related

I also found this video of one of the contestants of this years contest, which is in its final stages this week. Double wowza. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LExJ6oN4hUo

It's not all singing; I see that they also have a baton twirler, comedian, street dancer. Looks like fun.

Amazingly, the main competition is on TV every night this week, for 6 days in a row.

David, is this something you would watch/are watching?

My 12 year olds watch the show and I have seen a few of the acts. So far this guy is my favorite. He's so bad and yet I so want him to succeed.

That proves it. This whole thing must be scripted.

I thought that Paul Potts' 2007 winning song was absolutely fabulous!
Andrew Johnston's 2008 entry was also a great performance.

The voting is obviously rigged. The winner of every round has been the final act.
