Not to be confused with Cherry's Chicken (which is also delicious), this grilled chicken with cherry sauce was fabulous.
This time round, we used fresh cherries (pitted, of course). But we think that it would definitely work with jarred cherries too.

We served the chicken with herbs from the garden, sugar snap peas from the farmers' market and oven-roasted potatoes.
Dinner was so satisfying that we decided not to have our planned dessert of cherry shortcake jubilee. It would have been too much like gilding the lily.
