goulash recipe in SAVEUR (Oct.2006, no.96)
Freshly made to egg noodles are wonderful. (scroll down for more photos)
Roll out the noodles, cut them and hang to dry for about 10 minutes or so.
Cut the pasta sheets into linguine.
(Take a look at egg noodles when they are in Asian Chicken Soup - another wonderful dinner!)
Serve goulash with steamed green beans and egg noodles tossed in butter and toasted poppy seeds. (Mashed potatoes and beets with dill seed also go very well with goulash. Good crusty bread such as carrot bread, is also a very good alternative.)
Goulash is wonderful with green beans, beet salad and crusty bread too.
