Multigrain Bread

November 2008

I first made this bread for World Bread Day 2008 (16 October). We liked it so much that I had to make it again. (This time, I added 2 Tbsp buckwheat flour and omitted the sunflower seeds.) Unfortunately, some of it got burned.

Really burned. Happily, the buns came out unscathed.

When I was trying to remove the loaves from the oven, I managed to push them onto the oven floor beside the element. Wherever they were touching the element, they burst into flame.

These buns are shaped like tabatières (tobacco pouches). We love how they look!
