Sarafino Olive Oil

November 2012

This most wonderful Italian olive oil comes from a small farm in Calabria: Sarafino, L'Aspromontano Extra-Virgin Olive Oil (sarafino.com/products/olive-oil/olearia-san-giorgio/extra-virgin) The oil is delicious with bread, in salad, or drizzled on goats' cheese. It's also wonderful as a last minute addition to risotto.

A small amount goes a long way and will make ordinary mushrooms taste like truffles. It's wonderful tossed with fried mushrooms in fettucine.
