The batter for these onion rings was made with leftovers after feeding our wild yeast starter.
Toss the onion rings in seasoned flour (salt, pepper and chili flakes are a must), dip in batter and carefully place in hot oil to fry til golden. Remove finished rings to mesh basket hanging over edge of wok so they can drain.
Use up any extra batter with a banana. A banana?! Yes! It's delicious.
