ingredients: pitted dates, pecans, bacon
Put pecans inside the dates (where the pits were). Wrap each date with half a slice of bacon.
Fry the stuffed dates til golden.
They may not look all that pretty but they taste fabulous. (To serve at a cocktail party, stick a frilly toothpick into each one to dress it up. Reassure your guests that they are NOT bacon-wrapped beetles.)
