This pasta was made with red wine instead of water - well, it seemed like a good idea at the time.
The pasta was quite sticky. So we tried to separate each strand by tossing it in flour.
We thought maybe the peas, ham and cream sauce would help to cover up the nightmare colour.
Hmmm. Perhaps not.
In spite of the frightening look, it tasted okay, although the pasta wasn't quite al dente enough.
We tried the pasta again a couple of nights later without the cream sauce to see if maybe it would improve the looks. Hmmm, not much better. Good thing we like to eat by candlelight.
