We walked over. I was a little worried that maybe it wasn't worth getting out of a cozy bed. But the moment we caught a glimpse of the park, it was clear that it was well worth the effort. We couldn't stop taking pictures.
We quickly realized that using the flash would make the photos quite humdrum so Tot braced the camera against trees or benches so he could take most of the photos without the flash.
We approached the park from Wabash Avenue and this is the first thing we saw. Tot exclaimed and I kept saying, "Wait til you see the rest of the park!"
Looking east parallel to Wabash. The baseball diamond is just to the left. (This is very close to where Tot's kite had its amazing adventures.)
