Bread report

I’m doomed until the winter breaks! I couldn’t shape the bread until 17:00 yesterday! I put the shaped loaves into the oven with the light turned on – but had to remove them at 18:30 because scalloped potatoes and ham had to be baked for dinner. So the poor things were back out in the cold. The oven was still too hot as we served dinner and then we forgot to put the rising (ha! what’s that about “molasses in January”??) dough back into the warm oven.

So I didn’t get to bake the bread until 22:30!! Yikes. That’s way past my bedtime!

(And the result? It looks and tastes as good as the $35 bread!)
