Wordless Wednesday: Spring at Last!!

spring 2016
Garlic Greens

summary: At last it’s spring! We can open the kitchen window. Soon the tiny lilac buds will flower and their lovely scent will waft in. Speaking of lovely scent, this is spring bounty from our friends’ market garden.
We usually make Chinese ground pork dish with green onions but had to try it when our friends gave us a big bunch of garlic greens (not all they gave us are in the photo; some were still lurking in the fridge). Garlic greens taste fabulous, giving a wonderful brief hot flash and, while they smell quite garlicky, their flavour is surprisingly not overwhelmingly garlicky. They are simply delicious.
