.) Cut out a 5" x 1 1/2" oval from green felt.

.) Then you make a 4" tear-drop shape from red felt, round at top and pointed at bottom (3 1/2" across widest part).

.) About 1" up from the point, glue on two little moveable plastic eyes.

.) Then starting 1" above the eyes make two lengthwise parallel slits about 1" long and 1 1/2" in from each side at the wide part of the teardrop.

.) Slip the green felt horizontally under the slit on one side and pull out the other side. You should now have green ears. Then you can just make whiskers with black thread under the eyes and a little black thread nose. (Optional: Hand stitch the ears and back loop in place so the weight of the candy cane won't pull them through.)

.) The nice thing is where the green felt makes an arch where it pulls through at the back of the head, you can slip a candy cane lengthwise in it for hanging on the tree.
