Re: undecorating the Christmas Tree

I have my fingers crossed that this year I managed to roll up the lights so they will stay neat until next year. I am convinced that they tangle themselves up during the year. I don't think it happens as I unroll them. :hohoho: :lalala: I think the lights have a party every so often. Last year I wr...

I've been on Facebook for a couple of years. Mostly what I do is play Wordscraper which is a knock-off of Scrabble. Occasionally, I'll post a picture but really, it's just to play games.

I can't possibly choose only one answer in the poll. Where's the button that says "All of the above"? It's MINUS 13 on my covered deck which is quite near the door so must be at least a couple of degrees warmer than the regular outside...and then there's the windchill factor. Where's the b...

This morning, Dec 19, I can't get into the bonus round. And now I have that awful tune reverberating around in my head.

I can't seem to get the December 11 clue. All the other clues so far have been Very Obvious. I've been having trouble with that one too. I've tried a single letter, the whole word, the whole word twice. I'll try misspelling it and let you know. Nope, I misspelled it many ways but to no avail. :hoho...

I like the distressed look on Santa's face when I try to peek ahead. I sometimes try to figure out the letters in the puzzle but you've made it very tricky this year.

Yeah, I was a little surprised, too. I figured it had something to do with the texture of hte shortbread. These are not friendly to MrBrown, who thinks that sugar is the Root Of All Evil, so I'd like to figure out a way to make them without sugar but retain the texture. Any ideas?

Spicy Chipotle Shortbread

In a flyer that is full of coupons for various things, I came across this recipe. It sounded so good and the picture looked so appetizing that I HAD to make them. Spicy Chipotle Shortbread 1 cup unsalted butter, softened (I used regular butter) 1/2 cup icing sugar 1 3/4 cups all purpose flour 1/4 cu...

I thank people all the time for small things. Last year, near my work place, we had a lot of contruction going on and there were crossing guards. I always said, "thank you" to the crossing guards. They always smiled and said, "you're welcome". I did this while crossing with a col...

I think it's with the gravy spoon that Someone (we're not sure who) carefully put away some time last year in a very special place.

Re: Music By Which To Paint

There are some good Bach things I remember being good for vacuuming, but I forget what they were. Music for vacuuming? Isn't the vacuum too loud to hear the music? This would also assume vacuuming was being done. MrBrown does the vacuuming when I'm not here because I get peevish and cranky when I h...
