Hi guys

Post by David »

Hi

I didn't realise I'd been away for so long. I hardly recognise the place anymore. At first I was a little shocked at the change and spent a few minutes rocking back and forth in my chair hugging myself. Eventually I calmed down. It'll be a another day or so before I can find my way around without getting panic attacks no doubt. The blue scheme helps.

Cool to see you back!

Hey, David, you can do it! I'm sure all the new dodads on this forum will soon be under your command. You weren't wearing a pair of those nifty spiked rubber high heel boots were you?!

I thought maybe the blue might have a soothing effect.

I must say that I'm a bit surprised to hear that the absence of all those Bravenet ads have caused such distress though. Perhaps the animals will help you to adjust.

Glad to see you found your way back.

Yes, I know what you mean, David. I'm still not adjusted, and still feel a little lost at the absence of threads, which llizard has tried and tried to create. I like the new emoticons, though, and it's very easy to put in quote, URLs, etc.

In any case, it's great to have you back.

I have to say that I didn't TRY AND TRY. But I did try. I might try again later.

There are a couple of other minor coding problems that are occupying my time right now though. So while you're waiting for the thread option: :lalala:

I really missed the threads at the beginning, but I kind of like it the way it is now. On the main page, you can see which thingies (what are these sections called?) have new posts, and the inside the thingie, the new posts are always at the bottom. So far, people have been quoting nicely, so it seems fairly easy to follow.

For me, the :stomp: :jump: :lalala: :whee: more than make up for the threads. :bravo: :bravo: :bravo: :bravo:

Thanks for pointing that out blm. I have made a change to the hover text that appears if the mouse is over the "list" and "list=" buttons. I'll ferret around in the files to see if I can find how to change the actual text that is produced and perhaps also add a list item button.

See??? This is why there is no thread option! I keep getting distracted with fixing what is here already! :stomp: :stomp: :stomp: :stomp: :stomp:

Coding for an unordered list in BBCode:

Code: Select all

[list]
[*] item
[*] item
[*] item
[/list]
Coding for an ordered list in BBCode:

Code: Select all

[list=1]
[*] item
[*] item
[*] item
[/list]
edit: Now the text "list=1" appears if the ordered list button is chosen. The rest is a little more complicated but will follow evertually. :lalala:

Thanks for your efforts, llizard.

Interesting that you can use the List buttons to start and end the list and use either/both html <li> or bb [*] for the list items.

Code: Select all

[list]
<li>One</li>
[*]Two
<li>Three</li>
[/list]
  • <li>One</li>
  • Two
<li> :jump: Fee :stomp: Fie Foe Fum :stomp: Hey!</li>
