:stomp: Eeep!!! Someone would have to notice! :stomp:

I deliberated about whether I would have time to do it this year.

Glad you like it so far, CAM.

Hooray indeed. They're lovely this year. :bravo: :bravo: I especially like the moon-scene (Nov 29) and the excellent bells in the Dec 30.

I was surprised by the score for "O Come O Come Emmanuel" on Dec 2. I've always imagined the first note as a pick-up

Code: Select all

O | Come O Come E | Ma a an u | E e el
I found a score that's the way I expect it:

But yours looks better. :jump: :jump: :jump:

I was rather proud of the moon. I'm glad you like it. In fact thinking about how I would illustrate the Huron Carol was what decided me to tackle the calendar once again. But really I must be out of my mind!! Twenty two drawings to go!!! And in just twenty two days. How does that saying go? "Just twenty two drawing days til Christmas"?

That's kind of you to say. However, now that I look at it, I realize that I usually think of that first "O" as a pickup note as well. This is what comes of trying to do things in haste. I was transcribing it from a midi file I found and was not really paying attention. Silly me....

edit: I'm really discovering the wonders of photoshop. You'll all have to forgive me if EVERY drawing has a "lighting effect".

I really like the moon-scene too. I hadn't noticed the intrequate detail on the moon until blm mentioned it. The music theme is great. I suppose it's not too early for christmas carols after all! I looked at a few of the calendars from the past, and I especially like the goodies theme from last year. MMMMmmmm!

Well done llizard! :bravo: :bravo:

Thank you Goldilocks. I'm glad you like it too. I know what you mean about feeling like perhaps it's too early for Christmas carols. But I reckon that once December sets in, it's okay. Hearing them directly after Hallowe'en, on the other hand, is just not on.

I was so embarassed about the pickup note blm pointed out in O Come Emmanuel that I changed the image. I guess it's okay for me to do that.... I have this odd feeling that once it's out there in the ether, I'm not really supposed to tamper with it.

WOOHOO! llizard's Advent calendar is here! I especially like the 11th and 18th of December.

Now Christmas is really on the way. I've only another 13 days to work before a holiday (at home).

It's yours; sure you can tamper with it. It's lovely now, thanks. :bravo:

I really like the Christmas Carol one (Dec 3). :whee:

I actually went to see if Dec 11 and 18 had different versions of the "oh no" page. Duh.

Oh my gooodness :!: I never thought of putting in different "oh no" messages! What a :bravo: great :bravo: idea  . There must be a way to use javascript to randomly load 3 or 4 different versions. Maybe I'll investigate that if I get ahead of schedule.... :whee:

edit: There is already one other version of the "oh no" page to be seen if you try looking ahead in another way.

Thank you VERY much, David :!: :?: :!: :!: That particular tune hadn't yet been implanted into what's left of my brain. Still, it's better than what was previously implanted.
