This Gourmettopf claypot (unglazed inside and out) is one of the best things we ever got. We've had it for almost 20 years and use it often for winter dishes.

Not to be confused with Cherry Chicken (which is also delicious), Cherry's Chicken is made with skinned chicken pieces rubbed with dried thyme, sage, savory, salt and pepper resting on a bed of sliced potatoes, onions, garlic, white wine and fresh rosemary. Moroccan sundried olives were added near the end of cooking time.
About half an hour before serving, remove the top of the clay pot, baste, and continue to bake uncovered.
Cherry's chicken with baked squash and Portuguese cornbread
Claypot chicken on a bed of mushrooms and onions. Serve this on a bed of rice with a green vegetable. Make stock out of the bones for soup the next day.
