Some years ago at an antique sale in Edmonton, my mother found a sadly neglected stove-top castiron waffle iron "Taylor Forbes Ltd. Guelph Canada" c.1920s. She must have spent hours scrubbing off the rust and grime with steel wool and elbow grease before seasoning it well and giving it to us for Christmas. Not only is it an extremely attractive conversation piece, but it makes the best waffles. Thank you again and again, Mom! (see more images of our Taylor Forbes cast iron waffle iron)
