5 tea bags (orange pekoe or your favourite black tea)
15 sprigs of fresh mint
2 Tbsp fresh lemon juice (juice of one lemon)
1/3 c orange juice
- Pour boiling water over teabags and mint. Steep 5 min. Discard
teabags and mint.
- Pour the tea into a jug along with lemon and orange juices. Refrigerate for several hours or pour over ice and drink immediately.
Chai (Indian Tea)
Ingredients makes 2 cups
2 c milk
½ inch ginger, peeled and chopped
½ tsp cardamom seed
2 heaping tsp loose tea (black tea of your choice)
Put milk into a saucepan on medium heat. Add ginger and cardamom seed. Bring milk to a boil. Add tea and sugar (if desired) to milk. (I do not like sugar in my tea... T adds sugar afterwards.) Take off heat and let steep 5 minutes. Strain into 2 preheated cups and serve immediately.
